What is breathwork?

Breathwork

Breathwork is a way to control your breathing to induce a set of actions and reactions in your mind and body that are conducive to achieving a state or set of results that you choose. There are many forms of breathwork or Pranayama. With Steve, you will learn ancient practices combined with specifically designed music which have been scientifically proven to increase brain function, strengthen your nervous system, boost your immune system, remove toxins, release stored emotions and optimize the production of energy in your body.

Breathe With Steve courses offer a range of approaches and methodology depending on your health, where you are at in your life and what you want to achieve in those areas.

How it works

You have trillions of cells in your body and those cells need oxygen to thrive. Due to our living environments, jobs, busy social-life, relationships and social conditioning, people are generally in a constant state of contraction. This contracted state limits the oxygen from entering into our tissues cells and all body functions. Overtime, our bodies and minds can become weak which leads to our physiological and neurological systems breaking down and can even lead to diseases.

Your breath directly influences all functions in your body and when used the right way, you provide your primary systems the proper nutrients it needs to reach a state of peak performance. Remember, peak performance is physical, mental and emotional. This is how you can achieve what you want in your life.

How Does It Feel?

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to breathwork, so what you will feel ranges in what you’re trying to achieve. When you align the rhythms in the body through proper breathing rhythms following beat driven music, you access a deep sense of confidence, understanding, truth and realization of who you are.

A new sense of calm will come over you as you become clear on what’s been holding you back, the past moments that have formed who you think you are, the clarity to restructure what you want and the energy to go make it happen. You can induce the release of hormones in the body when breathing to a rhythm combined with music. These feel good hormones will bring back that deep feeling of passion that you may have been missing for a long time.

What Are Some Methods?

Is there a secret tool?

Your body is an energy producing machine. All functions of the mind and body need energy to work properly. There’s one thing that every human being should do and focus on and that’s increasing energy production. The source of our energy comes from oxygen. This doesn’t mean to breathe more, but to breathe less. The magical molecule called CO₂ is the missing link in how we utilize oxygen in the body. Most people have low CO₂ levels and this limits their ability to get oxygen from their blood cells to their tissues cells which makes the body work harder to provide energy.

The key to providing energy is to start Intermittent Hypoxic Training (brief periods of less or lower oxygen) – this builds up CO₂ levels and moves the oxygen to your tissue cells. Having a regular practice of IHT will support your body to adapt to the environment you create which in turn helps you learn to become more efficient at producing energy. In Pranayama, the practice is: the less you breathe, the longer you liv
